As a Social Media Contractor, you’ll support the Marketing team in sourcing and publishing custom content to our branded social media channels.
As a Social Media Contractor, you’ll support the Marketing team in sourcing and publishing custom content to our branded social media channels. Networking both internally and with external agencies, you’re passionate and knowledgeable about all things social media. You are experienced developing timely content strategies and calendars, while understanding the priorities of holistic marketing campaigns. You’ll partner with influencer talent and various stakeholders across our business, to ensure content is optimized for publishing and direct consumer dialogue is a priority across our key social platforms. Unafraid of numbers, you’ll use performance data as a way to iterate and evolve content for meaningful engagement, with Tofurky & Moocho’s unique audiences.
General Responsibilities:
1. Plan and execute social media content strategy in support of the brand goals on the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn.
2. Develop and implement an engagement strategy that focuses on initiating conversations, building one-on-one relationships and stoking fandom.
3. Analyze performance data on a regular basis to make improvements to content creation and communicate findings and best practices in a weekly report to internal team.
4. Coordinate social concepts that support department-wide marketing campaigns, our editorial calendar, and event-based promotions.
5. Work with the marketing team to establish and maintain an authentic social voice that enhances the brand and sister brands, increases its reach and improves the fan experience. Ie: Snappy copywriting skills that make us smile and laugh.
6. Show a proven understanding of social media best practices and a strategic approach to a wide range of new and emerging platforms, such as TikTok. Monitor platform and algorithm updates and adjust strategy accordingly.
7. Elevate planning and content creation for video (UGC, in-house storytelling and product launch narratives) on all platforms to optimize engagement.
8. Manage a budget that includes allocations for paid media, influencer partnerships, contests/promotions and Instacart ads. Total spend will be optimized based on target audience demographics.
Platform Specific Goals:
1. Facebook/Instagram/Twitter: Grow Audience/Boost Engagement, by way of compelling copy, curated image assets, thoughtful hashtags, coordinating contests (via IG and Shortstack) with influencers & peer brands & real-time channel monitoring. (Facebook/Twitter posts 5+x/week, Instagram posts 1-2x/day (inc. stories & feed))
2. LinkedIn: Post earned media articles and new item launches in sync with PR efforts, as appropriate.
Content Development: (Budgets for 3rd parties managed as part of Marketing roll-up allotment.)
1. PR Agency Liaison: As needed, interact with the PR firm on contacting Influencer talent for social campaigns or new item
2. Internal Design Team: Task needs for pop culture content creation via basecamp to Tofurky designer.
1. Sprout Social: Use application for analytics monitoring and recommendations for program evolution.
2. Basecamp: Use project management software to host content development conversations and tasks.
3. Tofurky Editorial Calendar: Follow calendar to map brand/marketing priorities.
4. Microsoft Teams: Use for informal chat, video calls and screenshare.
