Remote Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Customer Marketing (Contractor) within our Rapid Diagnostics business located at Lake Forest, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of consumer marketing programs in partnership with key customers. The expansion of the ID product portfolio into retail health clinics, pharmacies and urgent cares, as well as growth of OTC tests in retail, provides an opportunity to drive consumer awareness for rapid testing. This individual will report into the Customer Marketing Director. Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere) is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead customer marketing efforts to drive consumer demand for the ID portfolio in North America, including digital marketing and retail category management. * Support development of annual marketing plans establishing strategies and tactics to promote rapid testing in each target market segment. * Analyze market segment opportunities and support development of strategies to drive consumer demand for testing including the creation of compelling value propositions, competitive positioning, most desirable product attributes and trade-offs, retail marketing and consumer media plans. * Management of consumer promotional campaigns in partnership with top customers for the ID portfolio including communications vehicles, collateral and sales support materials, and account-specific programs, as applicable. * * * Develop and cultivate relationships with the Customers and key marketing counterparts at the customer. Identify opportunities for Abbott and the Customers based on a strong understanding of their strategies and shoppers. Work closely with the ID Global Business Unit, Global Shared Services, Technical Service, Global Marketing Services, other departments, and other companies, when appropriate, on key product portfolio initiatives and market development activities. * Support retail health care and competitive landscapes to ensure that Corporate and Sales organizations are kept up to date on new developments regarding changing marketplace dynamics. * Exhibit professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Biological Science or related field. MBA with marketing emphasis desired. Knowledge of all aspects of medical marketing to consumers and sales to pharmacy, clinic and retail customers. * Seven to ten years’ retail health, pharmacy or medical clinic experience. Three to five years’ marketing experience in medical or CPC industry, OTC products is required. * Demonstrated knowledge of consumer healthcare marketing is required. Infectious disease experience, as well as drug/pharmacy channel experience is highly desired. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with success in promoting products. Creative and innovative tasks skills with a high level of energy, enthusiasm, endurance, and a can-do attitude. * Demonstrated communication ability, including the ability to create and deliver professional presentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67.00 – $77.00 per hour
