As Gymshark continues to expand globally, we are seeking a Director of Digital Marketing and Community to lead the strategy for North America. This person will be an integral part of the North America Brand function, building out a team across all aspects of Digital Marketing, including organic and paid channels.

Please note while we are currently offering a hybrid work model, all candidates must be either Denver based, or willing to relocate to Denver, CO. 100% Remote work is not available for this role.You must also be legally able to work in the United States.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Play a critical role on the Marketing Leadership Team, reporting directly to Vice President of Brand Marketing for NA.
  • Drive audience growth, acquisition, retention, awareness and affinity for the brand, commerce opportunities, product launches, tentpole events, athlete initiatives, content, app downloads and usage through social and digital marketing across owned and 3rd party media outlets.
  • Own and implement a robust organic social and performance marketing vision and strategy while managing a well-structured, high performing team.
  • Partner with the Head of Paid Media in North America on budget planning and execution across SEM and Paid Social
  • Drive audience growth and affinity with millennial and gen Z audiences (youth, training and conditioning cultures), in addition to cultivating core fitness brand ambassadors.
  • Lead social and digital marketing efforts across offline/online, paid social, SEM, programmatic, mobile/app, video/content, emerging platforms, to create an engaging customer journey & marketing automation.
  • Create moment based and always-on social media strategy to influence and move culture.
  • Establish and manage test-and-learn plans to continuously optimize media investments.
  • Partner closely with cross functional team; brand, creative, insights and commercial for campaign strategy, insights, and performance analysis to drive engagement and drive revenue.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Essential Qualities:

  • Qualified candidates will have 12+ years of experience leading and managing offline/linear owned & operated and all things digital (paid media, email, SMS, web/app push) across agencies or established brands.
  • Expertise in Advertising; Marketing Technology and, campaign optimization, including performance budgets of $10M+
  • Strong ability to inspire and coach, and a history of hiring, managing, leading, and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to utilize qualitative and quantitative data to develop actionable insights, and a thorough understanding of cross-channel attribution.
  • Ability to think strategically across the short-, medium- and long-term marketing vision, consumer segments and goals.
  • Thoughtful, collaborative leadership with strong communication skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Team leader with an ability to mentor, coach, manage and provide strategic direction to large teams.
  • Experience working with Google, Facebook/Instagram, TikTok and various demand side platforms (DSPs), email service providers (ESPs), Looker, etc.
  • Strategy minded, but still knows how to drive execution.
  • Have a deep knowledge and understanding of advertising and marketing technology, emerging digital platforms, and offline/online marketing trends.
  • Experience and deep understanding of engagement drivers across organic social media platforms, partners and end users.
Preferred Qualities:
  • Experience buying and trading media directly, including new and emerging platforms.
  • Athletic apparel experience a plus.
  • Connection to sports, fitness/conditioning, and culture industries.

This role has a salary range between $187,000-$224,000 annually depending on experience.
