Job Description:

The Overwatch Path to Pro team at Activision Blizzard Esports is seeking a digital content manager to facilitate the various creative needs of its cross-franchise products. The ideal candidate has a passion for creativity and entertainment, knowledge of esports and Activision Blizzard titles, strong organizational and communication skills, and a proven history of managing complex projects with diverse stakeholders. The candidate should have experience working with global teams, an understanding of creative and social tools and platforms, and hold themselves to an unwavering quality standard.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily management and curation of owned and operated social media pages for Activision Blizzard Esports programs. Social media pages are inclusive but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Manage and maintain the content creation pipeline that supports cross-franchise and cross-product programming.
  • Oversee the asset approval process that involves various internal stakeholders including esports, creative, and game development teams.
  • Assist in the management of external vendors and contractors such as graphic designers and other creative roles.
  • Represent the Overwatch Path to Pro team internally as the primary point of contact for all publishing and promotional needs and requests.
  • Coordinate with various product leads to assist in the development, curation, and maintenance of affiliated websites.
  • Deliver on all social and marketing partnership deliverables.
  • Keeping a close eye on potential PR risks in the community and escalating as necessary.
  • Ensure branding and style guides for each product and product groups are up to date and available to relevant parties.
  • Content metadata tagging in management dashboards.
  • Ability to execute turnkey requests ad hoc in order to support broadcast and other departments as needed.
  • Generate reports on channel and platform performance and trends.
  • Keeps up with community trends and new platform tools as applicable. Always maintains awareness of current social media trends.
  • Maintain pulse on community sentiment and appropriately cover weekend storylines as well as sharing with the social team weekly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
  • 3+ years experience working with social platforms
  • Expert on a variety of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Twitch and Reddit a plus.
  • Ability to work weekends and live events as needed.
  • Highly knowledgeable and passionate fan of esports.
  • Knowledge of the Activision Blizzard Games and esports programs a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent communication skills that shine through in audience engagement.
  • Experience executing against brand and sponsorship campaigns.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Pluses

  • Proficient in Sprinklr and other management dashboards.
  • Proficient in SnappyTV, Yuzz.it, or other live broadcast tools.
  • Proficient in Wrike.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of scholastic and collegiate esports and gaming activity.
  • Experience with DAM and file sharing software like Libris and Greenfly a plus.
